I’m going to tell you a little something about me personally.  If you’d like to know a little about me as a Mistress, click here.  

I thought about what to tell you, and I decided that there are ten key things you might like to know.  So, in no particular order, here they are!

I’m Canadian

In fact, I think I’m the only Canadian Mistress here!

I was born and raised in the province of Saskatchewan which is a prairie province to the west of central Canada.  I’m a small town girl and I love the country life although ever since I was 12 I’ve lived in one of our two main cities. 

Apparently I have a Canadian accent, too, although I don’t hear it.  I knew that some people from Newfoundland and Quebec had one, but I didn’t think the rest of us did.  Apparently we do, though–feel free to listen to my free audios and tell me what you think.

I’m Mature

I’m 45+ and although we live in a society that exalts youth and young people, I have to say that I love being the age I am.  The advantage to you is that you get the benefit of my life experience and long distance domination (and I’ve been doing this a long time)..  

I’m In A Relationship

. . . and have been for many years.  And to answer your next questions, yes, he knows what I do and yes, he fully supports my choice of profession.  All my calls are confidential so you don’t need to worry that he’s listening in or that I tell him about you afterward.  In fact, he’s actually not interested–he’s absorbed in his hobbies!

I’m A Bookworm

I always have at least one book on the go–always.  I like a wide range of genres, but here are my go-tos and some of my favourite authors:

• mysteries:  Agatha Christie, Joseph Hansen, Emma Lathen, Richard Osman, Louise Penny, Rex Stout
• science fiction:  Douglas Adams, Ann Leckie, John Scalzi, Martha Wells, Jonathan Wood
• fantasy:  Katherine Addison, Glen Cook, Seanan McGuire, Liz Williams (Detective Inspector Chen novels–mysteries with a supernatural twist)
• classic literature:  Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Tobias Smollett, William Wordsworth 
• other:  Miss Manners never disappoints

Music Is Very Important To Me

I’m a huge music fan and you will see occasional music posts on my blog or my social media.  There are lots of sexy songs I can post about but I also might do a themed post based on something like a specific holiday (e.g. Hallowe’en).

I listen to a wide variety of genres, including blues, boogie woogie, classical, jazz, reggae, rockabilly, swing, Top 40, and zydeco. 

I’m A Foodie

I’m not a foodie in that sense that I’m a not a patron of high-end restaurants with super fancy dishes, but I love almost all other aspects of food.  I buy and read cookbooks, I read social media posts about food and recipes, I love grocery shopping (especially in specialty stores), and I love trying new recipes.  Eating out is a hobby, and my favourite cuisine is Indian. 

I lean toward eating vegan/vegetarian for a variety of reasons but it’s not 100%.

I’m An Introvert

I’m not shy, and I don’t hate people.  But I find that being around people drains me completely.  When I need to recharge, I escape home to the company of my partner and my cats.  If you’d like to know more about introverts, check out this witty and informative article in The Atlantic by Jonathan Rauch called “Caring For Your Introvert.”

I’m An Animal Lover

Having animals, especially cats, in my life is crucial to my happiness.  It’s important to me that all animals, large and small, be treated kindly, although some of them I don’t want near me!  My cats (all five) are rescues and the charities I support are all animal-related (e.g. shelters, rescue organisations, the local Humane Society).

I Love Stand Up Comedy

It’s common knowledge that humour is essential for strong mental health, and for me that means watching some talented stand up comedians.  Some of my absolute favourites are Josh Johnson, Michael McIntrye, Sarah Millican, Taylor Tomlinson, and Sindhu Vee.

I’m a Homebody

I’ve done a bit of travelling in Canada and have enjoyed myself doing so, and I’d love to travel a bit more (especially to Iceland and the UK).  But I’m happiest hanging out at home with my husband and our cats as we binge watch Netflix series or comedy specials.
