Flix and Lit
Ms Paige has instituted a new way for all of us to get to know what she calls “the Mind behind the Mistress.”
She calls it Flix and Lit:
This is for those of us who have a stack of books next to our beds, and who rent more movies than they go out to see. Now be honest- don’t fudge! Copy and paste to your blog, and let’s have a slice of the Mind Behind the Mistress. Or slave. Slaves can post too! Just remember to leave your link in my comments so we can all go look! This week, what is on your bedside table? What movies did you rent?
I think this is a smashing idea, so here’s my Flix and Lit for this week:
As some of you know, I’ve recently moved, so most of my books are still in boxes. But here a few that I’ve recently unpacked and set aside for bedtime reading:
- Spiritual Bathing: Healing Rituals and Traditions from Around the World, by Rosita Arvigo and Nadine Epstein
- Aural Thrills and Oral Skills by Miranda Austin
- The Ecology of Freedom: The Emergence and Dissolution of Hierarchy, by Murray Bookchin
- The Honest Courtesan: Veronica Franco, Citizen and Writer in Sixteenth-Century Venice, by Margaret Rosenthal (this was gifted to me by a very special man, and I am looking quite forward to devouring this book!)
My Netflix choices this week:
- None! I’ve been way too busy. But lately, I’ve got a hankerin’ to watch Henry and June. For like the 10th time.
